About the Project – Naveenta

Naveenta is a gender-transformative initiative that aims to build a gender-inclusive and equitable STEM workforce by equipping adolescent girls in Kalaiya, Madhesh Province, with the skills, confidence, and exposure needed to thrive in Nepal’s growing digital economy. While Nepal’s ICT sector is rapidly expanding, girls (especially those from marginalized communities) remain underrepresented due to limited access, digital literacy, and sociocultural barriers. Naveenta addresses these gaps by offering hands-on courses in coding and design, establishing STEM clubs, connecting girls with women role models in tech, and promoting digital citizenship and ethical AI use. The project envisions a future where girls not only participate in but lead within Nepal’s digital transformation.

1. Job Description: Computer Technician (Consultant)

Location: Kalaiya Sub Metropolitan City, Bara District

Project Duration: Bhadra 1, 2082 –Kartik 30, 2082

Compensation: NPR 1,20,000 – 1,40,000 (Based on experience and qualifications)

Scope of Work: Assessment, Repair, and Setup of Computer Labs in 10 Government Schools

JD Link: Computer Technician (Consultant)

Job Summary:

Karkhana Samuha is seeking a motivated and dynamic Computer Technician to assess, repair, and upgrade computer labs in 10 public schools in Kalaiya, Bara. The technician will evaluate the current state of each lab, perform necessary hardware/software upgrades, install operating systems, network all computers, ensure internet connectivity, and submit a detailed report with recommendations for future budgeting to the Palika (Municipality).

2. Job Description: Community Mobilizer

Location: Kalaiya, Bara, Madhesh Province (with frequent travel to project schools across the province)

Position Type: Full-time

Contract Duration: 1 year

Reports To: Project Officer

Estimated Salary: NPR 30,000 per month, with an additional NPR 5,000 monthly allowance for travel expenses.

JD Link: Community Mobilizer

Job Summary

Karkhana Samuha is seeking a motivated and dynamic Community Mobilizer to lead outreach, coordination, and engagement efforts for the Naveenta project. The role will involve building relationships with school principals, teachers and students, organizing and facilitating sessions and events, and supporting STEM and digital citizenship learning for students in target schools. The position requires frequent travel and active engagement inside the project location.

JD Link: Project Field Officer

Position Summary

Karkhana Samuha is seeking a motivated and dynamic Project Field Officer to lead the field-level implementation of the Naveenta Project in Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan City, Madhesh Province. Based in Kalaiya, the Project Field Officer will be responsible for coordinating with schools, managing trainers, and ensuring smooth logistical planning and delivery of multiple concurrent STEM courses in different locations. This role requires strong field coordination, organizational management, and an understanding of gender-responsive programming.
