The Society for Integrated Allied Nepal (SIAN) is a national NGO that was established in 2004 with the aim of promoting inclusive development, democracy, and human resource development by addressing health and nutrition, WASH, education, and access to opportunities for local communities. SIAN is an autonomous, non- political, and non-profit organization run by representatives of civil society and development professionals who actively work in rural development, health and nutrition, WASH, GEDSI, Climate change, Social Inclusion, education, human rights, inclusive democracy, child rights, livelihood, gender, and environmental issues. SIAN, in partnership with Helen Keller International (HKI), Vitamin Angels, and iDE Nepal, is implementing the Transforming Lives Through Nutrition (TLTN) Project in 4 Rural Municipalities (Palhinandan, Pratappur, Sarawal and Susta) of West Nawalparasi district, Lumbini Province. The Project aims to Improve the overall health and nutrition of pregnant women, lactating mothers, and children under 2 years by implementing integrated interventions.

To strengthen the project team, SIAN invites applications from qualified, committed, and dynamic Nepali citizens for the following positions:

1. Agriculture, Nutrition and Market Strengthening Officer (ANMSO)- 1

Position Duty Station: Field Office, West Nawalparasi

Type: Full Time

Duration: One year (with possibility of extension)

Qualification and Experience: At least BSc in Agriculture with 3 years of relevant experience in agriculture, nutrition-sensitive value chains, and market development. (Priority will be given to the Candidates having MSc in Agriculture with at least 2 years of work experiences in relevant sector).

Roles and Responsibilities/Proven Knowledge and Experiences:

  • Lead the planning of agriculture and market-related activities aligned with nutrition-sensitive approaches.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with local government, community leaders, Private Sectors and other relevant stakeholders,
  • Support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of agriculture and nutrition, advocacy and market strengthening activities at the local level.
  • Provide technical support and training to local farmer groups, FCHVs, community leaders, and other stakeholders.
  • Technical assist Field Supervisor in implementing field level activities and ensure Target vs Achievements and all deliverables meet at time.
  • Establish/strengthen multi-stakeholder platforms to facilitate public private partnership to create an enabling nutritious food system.
  • Strengthen Hatbazar, facilitate technical training, Networking and Partnership with Private Sector
  • Technical assist in establishment of Community Learning Centers (CLCs), development of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)
  • Support in Strengthening of supply chain and train farmers and local value chain actors on appropriate
  • use of post-harvest technologies
  • Facilitate fairs, exhibitions, and business networking events to promote local WASH and agri-products.
  • Support Project lead for project planning, DIP reporting.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly technical reports and document success stories, case studies, and best practices.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and report writing skills in Nepali and English both
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Project Lead or organization in alignment with the project scope.
  • Good interpersonal and facilitation skills to work with diverse communities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Two-wheeler driving license with own vehicle is mandatory.

2. Assistant Supervisor-WASH (Only for Female Candidates)- 1 Position

Duty Station: Field Office, West Nawalparasi

Type: Full Time

Duration: One year (with possibility of extension)

Qualification and Experience: Bachelor’s (running or completed) in Sociology, Rural Development, Development Studies, Public Health, and any other relevant discipline. At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience. Prior experience working in nutrition-sensitive or WASH-focused interventions in rural or underserved areas will be an added advantage.

Roles and Responsibilities/Proven Knowledge and Experiences:

  • Support WASH Field Supervisor in implementing WASH activities in field level
  • Maintain regular communication with local government, health institutions, schools, and community groups for effective planning and execution of WASH interventions.
  • Mobilize and strengthen community-based WASH groups, mothers’ groups, youth clubs, and local committees.
  • Conduct water quality testing at household and community levels (arsenic, E. coli, pH, turbidity, etc.) and record findings.
  • Marketing and promotion of WASH products (toilets, water filters, sanitary pads, etc.).
  • Coordinate with the Agriculture/Nutrition teams to ensure integration of WASH and nutrition- sensitive activities.
  • Assist in the promotion and marketing of low-cost WASH products, such as toilets, sanitary pads, soaps, and water filters through local entrepreneurs or cooperatives.
  • Promote gender-sensitive and disability-inclusive WASH solutions at household and institutional levels.
  • Regularly visit field sites and provide feedback to ensure quality implementation of WASH activities.
  • Maintain proper records of water testing, hygiene sessions, distribution of materials, and participant attendance.
  • Prepare brief reports (weekly/monthly) including success stories, challenges, and lessons learned.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Project Coordinator or organization in alignment with the project scope.
  • Good interpersonal and facilitation skills to work with diverse communities.
  • Willingness to travel and work in rural areas.
  • Priority will be given to local candidates from West Nawalparasi.
  • Two-wheeler driving license with own vehicle is mandatory.
