1. About U-GO Nepal

U-GO Nepal is a non-governmental social organization registered in 2023 and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (SWC) of Nepal. Guided by the core belief that 'Talent is universal; opportunity is not,' U-GO Nepal works to transform low-income societies by empowering promising young women from marginalized and economically disadvantaged communities to pursue and complete their higher education (bachelor's degrees).

Recognizing that financial assistance alone is insufficient to guarantee long-term success, U-GO Nepal delivers a holistic support framework. This includes comprehensive financial aid alongside structured life skills training, mentorship, career guidance, and personalized psychosocial support, enabling scholars to overcome systemic barriers, develop critical agency, and transition into self-reliant community leaders.

2. Position Overview

The Training and Counseling Officer plays a central role in driving U-GO Nepal's non-financial support pillars. The officer is responsible for designing, managing, and facilitating structured training programs, including leadership boot camps, life skills, and skill-building modules for U-GO scholars. Connect scholars requiring specialized mental health interventions with qualified clinical service providers.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting (10%): Administer pre- and post-training evaluations to measure learning outcomes, participant feedback, and overall program efficacy. Maintain systematic, confidential scholar counseling logs and compile regular analytical progress reports for organizational decision-making.
