The Manavsewa Ashram is solely a non-profit social organization founded in Makwanpur, Hetauda, on 29 August, 2012, dedicated to making Nepal a 'street people free country' by helping the most vulnerable, impoverished, disabled, homeless, physically weak or mentally or psychologically challenged people who are forced to live miserable lives in the open sky street-banks and public places.

We’re Hiring: Senior Editor
Manavsewa Ashram is looking for a highly experienced and visionary Senior Editor to lead our content and media efforts from our central office in Raniban, Kathmandu. This is a full-time role with frequent travel to our project locations across Nepal.
If you have over a decade of experience in editing, media, or content leadership, excellent command of Nepali and English, and are passionate about creating impactful, ethical, and human-centered stories – we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do:
– Lead the development and execution of our content strategy across print, digital, and video platforms.
– Oversee the editorial process and ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with our organization’s mission.
– Manage and mentor a creative team including writers, videographers, photographers, and social media staff.
– Review and edit high-impact content in both Nepali and English, ensuring linguistic excellence and cultural sensitivity.
– Collaborate with various departments to craft narratives that reflect the real stories of change, care, and humanity.
– Guide multimedia content production, including concept development, scripting, review, and publishing.
– Maintain high editorial standards, ensure legal and ethical compliance, and develop storytelling formats suited to both national and grassroots audiences.
– Coordinate field visits to collect authentic stories, lead visual documentation, and supervise content collection on the ground.
– Analyze content performance and adjust strategy based on data and audience insights.
Skills & Strengths We’re Looking For:
– Exceptional editorial judgment and storytelling ability.
– Deep understanding of Nepali language and grammar – both written and spoken.
– Strong experience managing teams, projects, and editorial calendars.
– Proficiency in digital content formats and familiarity with visual media workflows.
– Adaptability and cultural sensitivity to work with people from all walks of life.
– Commitment to ethical, respectful, and purpose-driven content.
Location: Kathmandu, Raniban
Travel: Regular field visits required across Nepal
