Position: Project Manager- Social Harmony and Protection (Women Only)

Location: Surkhet, Karnali Province Cluster
The main purpose of this position is to provide technical support and ensure the effective and efficient management of the Community Development Project under the Social Harmony and Protection theme in Surkhet.
Qualifications & Experiences:
- Bachelor's degree in Conflict and Peace Studies, Development studies, or a related field, with at least three years’ experience in non-government development organisations, particularly in leveraging the capacity and influence of key religious leaders to address social issues and challenges and in mobilising inter-faith communities for sustainable development and social transformation.
- Strong knowledge of the socio-economic dynamics of Karnali Province and relevant government policies, including the role of faith leaders in addressing social issues.
- Proven skills and experience in project planning, implementation, budgeting, monitoring, reporting, partnership management and proposal development.
- Experience in organising and facilitating capacity-building interventions, including training, workshops, and multi-stakeholder meetings.
- Ability to work on complex and sensitive issues with socio-cultural awareness and adaptability.
- Demonstrates willingness to learn, ability to work in diverse cultural settings and commitment to living out UMN’s values.
- Excellent communication skills in Nepali and English, both written and verbal.
