Position Summary

The Packaging In-charge is responsible for planning, supervising, and controlling all packaging operations to ensure finished products are packaged accurately, safely, and efficiently in accordance with company standards and customer specifications. The role oversees packaging staff, manages packaging materials, maintains inventory and quality records, and coordinates with Production, Quality Control, Warehouse, and Dispatch teams to ensure timely order fulfillment while minimizing packaging errors and material wastage.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and monitor daily packaging operations.
• Ensure products are packaged according to approved specifications and customer requirements.
• Verify packaging quality before warehouse transfer and dispatch.
• Supervise labeling, tagging, barcoding, and packaging documentation.
• Maintain adequate inventory of packaging materials and monitor consumption.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality Control, Warehouse, and Dispatch teams.
• Supervise and train packaging staff to ensure productivity and quality.
• Maintain daily packaging reports, inventory records, and material usage reports.
• Minimize packaging errors, product damage, and material wastage.
• Ensure workplace cleanliness, compliance with safety standards, and proper use of PPE.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical field will be an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in packaging, production, warehouse, or manufacturing operations.
• Experience in handicraft, textile, wool, or felt manufacturing industries will be preferred.
