1. Position: Field Assistant

Locations: Doti (Candidates may be deployed to any municipality within the Doti district based on project requirements).

Report to: Cluster Field Officer

Essential skills, experience, and knowledge:

  • Completed 10+2 education with a minimum of 2 years of experience in social mobilizer.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills and can collaborate effectively with community members in coordination with all sector staff at both cluster and local levels.
  • Previous experience in mobilizing communities at the grassroots level, implementing initiatives, and facilitating various sessions is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with computer and mobile phone-based surveying is a plus.
  • Holding a two-wheeler driving license would be advantageous.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist in executing the operational plan for the cookstove project.
  • Generate demand for cookstoves through social mobilization, coordinating with beneficiaries, Female Community Health Volunteers (FCHVs), and other stakeholders.
  • Arrange demonstration events and facilitate marketing campaigns through sales points for clean cookstoves.
  • Verify cookstove sales and usage through household visits and phone interviews with a randomly selected 30% of households, assessing sales, usage, and maintenance.
  • Implement project activities utilizing a digitalization approach with the use of mobile applications.
  • Support in organizing and facilitating workshops, seminars, and training sessions at the field level as per the plan.
  • Support in building the capacity of cookstove users and mobilizing community members for program effectiveness.
  • Encourage and support last-mile distributors and local technicians to carry out the task effectively and efficiently.
  • Assist in developing necessary formats, tools, manuals, and materials for the program
  • Conduct regular visits to program areas, establishing and strengthening connections with local stakeholders as well as with the representatives of the local governments.
  • Facilitate field visits for the project and stakeholder teams.
  • Conduct regular monitoring and gather data and information, preparing monthly, quarterly, and event-based progress reports.
  • Compile case studies, success stories, and features.
  • Share lessons learned and best practices with relevant staff members to enhance performance.
  • Maintain regular coordination with the project team.
  • Undertake any additional responsibilities assigned by the Cluster Field Officer.

2. Position: Field Assistant (After Sales)

Locations: Achham (Candidates may be deployed to any municipality within the Achham district based on project requirements).

Duration: Up to September 2026

Report to: Cluster Field Officer

Purpose of Position:

Field Assistant will be responsible for cook stove monitoring, household visit and interaction on usage of stoves, provide repair and maintenance services, data collection in assigned location. S/he will work closely with cluster field officer coordinating with local government, ward office, line agencies and local NGOs/CBOs. S/he will perform the following specific tasks,

Required qualification and experience:

  • 10+2 Passed with at least 2 years experiences in social mobilization. 
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with community people in coordination with all sub sector staff at cluster and local level.   
  • Experience on community level mobilization, implementation and facilitation to conduct various sessions would be added advantage.
  • Working knowledge in computer and mobile phone-based surveying will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of the project’s operational plan under the TTCM project, specifically focusing on post-sales interventions.
  • Conduct household visits to interact with cook stove users, provide guidance on usage, and collect relevant feedback and data.
  • Deliver repair and maintenance services to cook stove users in multiple communities throughout the district to ensure continued functionality and user satisfaction
  • Coordinate effectively with beneficiaries, FCHVs (Female Community Health Volunteers), and other local stakeholders.
  • Verify cookstove sales and usage through door-to-door visits and phone interviews with a randomly selected 30% sample of households, using KoBoToolbox for monitoring.
  • Assist in organizing and facilitating workshops, seminars, and trainings related to after-sales services at the field level.
  • Support capacity building of user households to ensure the sustained and efficient use of cookstoves.
  • Encourage and facilitate local entrepreneurs and distributors to promote community-level engagement and sustainability.
  • Conduct regular visits to program areas, ensuring strong coordination and linkages with local stakeholders.
  • Facilitate the project and stakeholder team during field visit.
  • Collect of data and information and prepare monthly, quarterly progress and event-based report.
  • Prepare the case study, success story and feature etc.
  • Share the learning and best practices to other related staffs and support for the better performance.
  • Coordinate and direct report to Cluster Field Officer (CFO) with project team regularly.
  • Fulfill other specific assignments given by ASTHA Nepal.
