Position Details

Post Title: Admin and Finance Assistant (AFA)

Number of Positions: One (1)

Duty Station: Madhyapur Thimi–03, Bhaktapur (with 25% field travel)

Employment Type: Full-time

Reporting To: Provincial Project Coordinator/Managing Director

Salary & Benefits: As per SODEIN policy

Contract Duration: Initially One Year (with possibility of extension based on performance)

Probation Period: Six Months

Job Summary

The Admin and Finance Assistant will be responsible for overall administration, financial management, procurement, and logistics operations. The position ensures compliance with SODEIN policies, Government of Nepal regulations, and donor requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Management: Manage transactions, budgeting, reporting, and compliance
  • Administration: Oversee office operations, procurement and asset management
  • Monitoring & Evaluation: Monitor budget utilization and expenditures
  • Capacity Building: Train staff on financial procedures and documentation
  • Reporting: Prepare periodic financial and inventory reports

Required Qualifications

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of financial management and reporting
  • Good command of English and Nepali
  • Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software

Desirable:

  • Valid driving license (Motorbike/Scooter)
  • Experience in rural/multicultural environments
  • Willingness to travel and stay in field locations
