It focuses on financial inclusion, enterprise promotion, and community empowerment. The organization works with local institutions and communities to expand economic opportunities and improve livelihoods.

Samriddha Pahad invites applications from qualified individuals for the following opportunities. These positions are part of an EU-funded project scheduled to begin in March 2026 and conclude in February 2029. The project aims to empower youth, strengthen local cultural and economic systems, and expand livelihood opportunities through capacity-building, innovation support, and community-led development initiatives. The project will be implemented in Taplejung District.

1. Position: Project Accountant (Kathmandu Based)

Organization: Samriddha Pahad

Reports to: Sr. Finance & Administration Manager (Sr. FAM) / CEO

Duty Station: Kathmandu

1.1 Purpose of the Position

The Project Accountant is responsible for managing project-related financial transactions, ensuring timely reporting, maintaining compliance with organizational and donor requirements, and supporting overall financial management.

1.2 Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Record Keeping

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for all project activities.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all expenditures in compliance with financial policies.
  • Prepare vouchers, maintain ledgers, and update accounting software regularly.
  • Ensure proper application of Nepalese Tax laws in all financial transactions.

Budgeting & Financial Reporting

  • Assist in preparing project budgets and forecasting.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports as required.
  • Support the Sr. FAM/CEO in donor financial reporting.

Compliance & Audit Support

  • Ensure adherence to financial policies, donor guidelines, and audit requirements.
  • Prepare and compile financial documents for internal and external audits.
  • Monitor expenses to ensure compliance with approved budgets.

Cash & Bank Management

  • Manage petty cash and bank transactions for the project.
  • Reconcile bank statements monthly.
  • Coordinate with banks for cheque handling, transfers, and other transactions.

Procurement & Administration Support

  • Support procurement processes following organizational guidelines.
  • Review bills, invoices, and supporting documents for payments.
  • Coordinate with admin/logistics for financial documentation.

Other Tasks

  • Support the Finance & Admin team in cross-cutting tasks.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Sr. FAM/CEO.

1.5 Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in accounting or financial management.
  • Experience working with NGOs/INGOs is highly preferred.
  • Strong skills in MS Excel and proficiency in Tally accounting software.
  • Good communication skills in both English and Nepali.
  • Must possess a two‑wheeler with a valid driving license.
  • Experience working with development projects is an advantage.

Contract Duration: 3 years

2. Position: Finance & Admin Officer (Field Based – Taplejung)

Organization: Samriddha Pahad

Reports to: Project Manager / Sr. FAM

Duty Station: Taplejung

2.1 Purpose of the Position

The Finance & Admin Officer is responsible for day-to-day financial operations, administrative support, logistics, and coordination at the field level. The role ensures proper financial management and smooth office functioning.

2.2 Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations

  • Manage daily financial transactions, including payments, receipts, and petty cash.
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing of all financial records at the field office.
  • Prepare and submit field-level monthly expenditure reports to the central office.
  • Ensure accurate application and compliance with Nepalese Tax laws in all financial transactions.
  • Prepare and submit field-level monthly expenditure reports to the central office.

Budget Monitoring & Reporting

  • Support the Project Manager in monitoring project expenditures.
  • Ensure expenses are aligned with approved budgets and financial policies.
  • Assist in forecasting field-level financial needs.

Administrative Management

  • Oversee field office administration, including logistics, asset management, and office supplies.
  • Maintain inventory records and ensure proper utilization of assets.
  • Manage staff attendance records and field office HR-related administrative tasks.

Procurement & Logistics

  • Support procurement of goods and services at the field level following guidelines.
  • Coordinate travel, accommodation, and logistics for staff and visitors.
  • Ensure proper documentation of procurement processes.

Coordination & Communication

  • Coordinate with the central Finance & Admin team on financial and administrative matters.
  • Facilitate communication between field staff and central office for operational needs.
  • Support the Project Manager in organizing field activities, meetings, and events.

Compliance & Audit Support

  • Ensure all financial and administrative practices comply with organizational rules.
  • Support project audits by preparing and submitting required documents.

Other Duties

  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the Project Manager or Sr. FAM.

2.3 Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in finance, administration, or field-level project support.
  • Experience working with NGOs/INGOs is highly preferred.
  • Strong skills in MS Excel and proficiency in Tally accounting software.
  • Good communication skills in both English and Nepali.
  • Must possess a two‑wheeler with a valid driving license.
  • Experience in rural or remote field settings is an added advantage.
