Detailed Job Description / Requirements:

ITONICS, a leading software company based in Kathmandu, focuses on providing Strategic Foresight, Risk and Innovation Management, Idea Management tools. As a strategic partner, Lacuna Innovation, a research, and management consultancy work together with ITONICS to provide relevant trend content, insights, and analysis for the Lacuna Radar platform used by our clients.

Lacuna is currently witnessing growth and is looking for an "Innovation and Insights Analyst - English Content Writer" who will add value to a dynamic, multi-skilled and passionate group of individuals.  

Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in language, marketing, innovation studies, corporate communication, business management or other related areas, preferably with a focus on English communication.
  • Additional English language qualifications or experience beneficial.
  • 1-2 years of working experience (preferably in an English-speaking or international company). This could include postgraduate university work such as research or an assistant position.
  • Specific subject-matter expertise or industry background is beneficial (e.g. finance, healthcare, tech, etc.).
  • Proficient in English reading and writing skills.
  • High level of organization and detail-orientation.
  • Ability to differentiate relevant information from less relevant information.
  • Intuition and problem-solving skills.
  • Eagerness to take on new roles and responsibilities and take ownership when required.
  • Ability to work within an international, networked team structure in a high-performance, project-based environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Writing Inspirations (short articles that encapsulate specific Trends and exemplify how these Trends are playing out in the market or within a specific industry).
  • Subscribing to and reading industry newsletters and seeking out information to stay aware of emerging Trends and Technologies. It’s important that you are self-motivated and have a passion for research and knowledge.
  • Researching new developments in specific industries and curating and creating copy for specific clients according to their needs.
  • Writing various types of content, primarily in a short-copy style.
  • Abiding by the Lacuna Style Guide and Writing Guide to ensure that quality is consistent with the company's tone and style, and incorporating feedback from the Editors into your writing.
  • Becoming familiar with the Lacuna Trends and Technologies so as to write content that is absolutely relevant.
  • Ensuring that text is well-written and logically structured and that all the information included is relevant.
  • Extracting meaningful conclusions from abstract information.
  • Delivering on tasks timeously and diligently.
