Terms of Reference for GESI Manager

Job Purpose

This is a long term institutional position based in Kathmandu office located in Panipokhari/ Maharajgunj area (https://swnepal.com.np/contact-us/). The overall purpose of the GESI Manager is to manage as GESI Focal Person the team, activities and services related to gender and social inclusion.  

Detailed job description and requirements

  • Serve as the gender equity and social inclusion lead at the institutional level.
  • Assist project coordinators or team leader to prepare GESI related Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) plan including the preparation of checklists for field monitoring/verification
  • Coordinate marketing works and actively participates in developing concepts, terms and references on GESI
  • Enhance capacity of the project staffs (including organizational members and staffs) policies, practices and promote discourses on Gender Equality and Social Inclusion
  • Develop and strengthen GESI team within the organization

Qualifications and experience

  • Master’s Degree, with major in Gender Studies with minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience.
  • 3-5 years of working in GESI area 
  • Excellent report writing skills in English and good communication skills in Nepal interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in diverse team environments

Location:                          Central Office in Mahrajgunj, Kathmandu

Expected start date:        As soon as possible (expected to join by mid-July)

Salary:                              Negotiable based on experience and company policy
