KIRDARC Nepal in technical support of DAI and financial support of USAID has been implementing “JAL KACHAHARI: A multi-stakeholder process for resilient water resources management in Karnali Basin” at Naraharinath Rural Municipality of Kalikot district and Rajapur Municipality of Bardiya district. To achieve the targeted goal, the project has planned to prepare and endorse Local Adaptation Plan for Action (LAPA) and Community Adaptation Plan for Action (CAPA) at Rural Municipality and Municipality in consultation, collaboration and participation of local stakeholders, Vulnerable Community, Rural Municipality and Municipality. The plan will contribute for implementation of climate change adaptation, protecting healthy and biodiversity ecosystem, conservation fresh water biodiversity, strengthen the resilience of targeted human and ecological communities and disaster related activities for next three to five years in project implementing Rural Municipality and Municipality.
The major objective of the consultancy is to review information, documentation collected from Vulnerability Capacity Assessment Process and develop ward level local disaster risk and climate resilience plan. Consultant shall prepare Detail Implementation Plan, checklist, feedback collection schedule in consultation with KIRDARC Nepal. Produce ward level disaster Profile including hazards, vulnerability and capacity as per LAPA guideline, Facilitate planning workshop to develop Local Adaptation Plan for Action (LAPA), planning workshop to develop Community Adaptation Plan for Action (CAPA) and generate report of each event. Facilitate draft LAPA Sharing and feedback collection workshop and produce final two Local Adaptation Plan for Action (LAPA) and five Community Adaptation Plan for Action (CAPA) as per LAPA guideline.
Qualified individual consultants/firms are hereby requested to submit a brief proposal in hard copy (Sealed Envelope) highlighting the topic of proposal and expected fees. Consultants/ Firms are requested to submit both technical and financial proposal with describing the methodology and approach of consultancy service along with your CVs before 12th of February 2019 to the address below.
