Details / requirements:
Javra Software is a software company from the Netherlands. Since it was founded in 1999 it showed a stable growth each year. In 2005 the growth was 50% and we want to ensure our market position and continued growth by hiring highly skilled software developers.
Due to our expanding group of customers (Dutch and international) we have started a subsidairy in Nepal at the beginning of 2006. At this moment we are located in Kathmandu but we will move to be the first company in the IT Park located in Banepa / Kavre , 25 kilometres from Kathmandu.
Javra Software has 4 main products / services.
1. The XE files. This is a software development tool, written by Javra Software, which helps us and our customers to create new software applications really fast for windows and the internet.
2. XE Image Bank. This is an image bank to collect and maintain large amount of electronic objects such as images, pdf files, word documents and many others. The XE image bank is written with our own software development tool.
3. Consultancy. Javra Software is delivering consultancy to her customers. This can be in house on the customer location or from a Javra Software location using the internet.
4. Projects. Our turnkey projects are based on fixed time / fixed price. The software development location is normally at the Javra Software office.
Helpdesk employees (M/F)
We are looking for 4 helpdesk employees/programmers. We need talented software engineers that are ready to tackle problems and deliver results.
To serve our customers better, we will move our helpdesk to Nepal. Our helpdesk must be available 5 days a week, 16 hours a day.
So we will work in 3 shifts. From 7 am - 15.30 pm, 10.30 am - 19 pm and from 13.30 pm - 22.00 pm (including a 30 minutes break) so in total 40 working hours a week spread over 5 days (free on saterday and sunday).
This shift will be in a rolation system. So one week you will start early, the week after on normal times, and the third week you will work late.
Your job will be to help our customers solve there add hoc problems / questions, help developing a knowledge base and to make documentation.
We expect that you possess the following qualifications:
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Education as software engineer or computer scientist
• Expert in various programming languages and development of MS Windows applications
• Database programming experience
• Creative and inventive
• Good at estimating time usage and meeting deadlines
