The Manavsewa Ashram is solely a non-profit social organization founded in Makwanpur, Hetauda, on 29 August, 2012, dedicated to making Nepal a 'street people free country' by helping the most vulnerable, impoverished, disabled, homeless, physically weak or mentally or psychologically challenged people who are forced to live miserable lives in the open sky street-banks and public places.

Key roles & responsibilities :

  1.  Provide leadership and guidance to medical staff, including nurses, health assistant, CMA and other healthcare professionals.
  2.  Build a reporting system to collect data and report on a daily, weekly, monthly, semi annually, and annually basis, analyze the information, and present the findings to the supervisor and board.
  3.  Prepare Key Performance Indicators (KPI), implement them, and oversee the day-to-day activities of medical personnel.
  4.  Conduct and participate in daily, weekly monthly, semi-annually, annually and emergency meeting of health person as per the requirement.
  5.  Recruit, train, and conduct performance evaluations for medical staff periodically and as per the requirements of the Ashram.
  6.  Schedule and assign duties to medical personnel to ensure adequate coverage.
  7.  Address any performance related issues, provide constructive feedback and monitor progress. Page 1 of 3 Page 2 of 3
  8.  Ensure that medical staff adhere to all relevant healthcare code of ethics, rules, regulations and standards of Manavsewa Ashram
  9.  Provide direct medical support to the ashram medical staff at the Manavsewa Ashram shelter.
  10. Conduct regular audits to assess and improve the quality of healthcare services.
  11.  Foster effective communication and collaboration among different departments within the Ashram
  12.  Monitor and evaluate rescued individual and children care procedures to ensure they align with established protocols and guidelines.
  13.  Assist in the development and management of budgets for the medical department.
  14.  Ensure efficient use of resources and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  15.  Facilitate ongoing training and professional development opportunities for medical staff.
  16.  Keep staff updated on industry best practices and advancements in healthcare.
  17.  Prepare medical-related proposals and submit them to the concerned stakeholders for medical resource collection and identification.
  18.  Provide counselling service to rescued individual and children and staff as per the need.
  19. Proactively initiate and lead fundraising efforts for the health department to secure resources and sustain vital health programs
  20.  Develop policies and operational procedures for the health department in alignment with Manavsewa Ashram & standard guidelines to optimize desired outcomes.
  21. Provide regular updates on tasks, progress, and future planning details on a daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual basis to the board and immediate supervisor.


Qualification :

  • Bachelor of Public Health (BPH) /BAc Nursing
  •  Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSc Nursing) or Bachelor of Nursing (BN) 
  • Health Assistant (HA) / Bachelor of public health  Bachelor's degree in a related health discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in implementing community health programs in NGO/INGO settings.
  •  Highly proficient in report writing, documentation, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and health-related software for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  •  Able to quickly adapt to the rules, regulations, and policies of the organization and maintain a high standard of professionalism.
