Factory In-charge

BioComp Nepal is a newly established Nepali company for the production and sales of "compost" (organic fertilizer) intended for agricultural companies throughout Nepal. This compost will be produced from vegetable and fruit waste at our new factory (currently under construction) in Sainbu, Khokana. Sales, marketing and accounting will be undertaken from our office in Jhamsikhel.

BioComp Nepal is looking for a full time Factory In-charge. In this position, you will have full day-to-day (6 days a week) responsibility for the operational supervision of the new compost factory. The Factory In-charge will be located in our factory in Sainbu and report to the General Manager. 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As Factory In-charge of Biocomp Nepal, 

• You will supervise the compost manufacturing process, assisted by the Compost Technician. The manufacturing process consists of the daily intake and sorting of green waste (from various wholesale markets, by own tipper truck), the composting and maturation process and the production process (storage, sieving, packing, warehousing). 
• You will supervise the order dispatch process, assisted by the Sales & Marketing Manager. The order dispatch process consists of daily monitoring of the order administration and dispatching the Biocomp products to customers from the warehouse, either by customer transport or by our own transport. 
• You will supervise the procurement process, i.e. supervise the intake of goods and utilities and perform stock control.
• You will supervise the staff planning and performance: make duty rosters, supervise staff duties and tasks and maintain on site staff facilities (kitchen, toilets, etc.). 
• You will safeguard the factory policies on work safety, company security and staff health. 
• (Construction phase, until end of 2013): you will provide input and assistance to the building contractor during the final phase of site construction, for road pavements, finishing building constructions, greenery, demo garden and so on. 

REQUIREMENTS

In order to become Factory In-charge of Biocomp Nepal, 

• You should have completed at least +2 college education, preferably in a technical or business field. 
• You should have at least 5 years experience in a private company in Nepal, preferably a factory or large agricultural enterprise. 
• You should have at least 2 - 3 years of management experience, as team leader, supervisor or similar. 
• You should be a strong people's person, a team builder with social and communication skills. 
• You should have affinity with agriculture, alternative energy and waste management. 

REMUNERATION

We will provide the Factory In-charge of Biocomp Nepal, 

• A starting gross salary of NRs. 25,000 per month, subject to income tax. 
• A comprehensive medical and accident insurance, also for your family. 
• A performance based annual bonus system.
