Drone Analyst

Details / requirements:
NAXA is looking for a highly motivated and focused individual willing to build a career in drones captured data analysis and research. The candidate will be working closely with a dynamic team who is piloting a number of interesting analytical projects using Drones.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Carry out drones based aerial data capture planning, coordinate and supervise field mapping activities
Carry out drone data processing using available software
Carry out digitization of aerial images captured from drones and prepare GIS geodatabase
Research different available Open source drone data processing software and prepare technical manuals of the best available tools
Compile project reports (drone field visit reports, data collection, assessment and analysis reports) and necessary documents from different thematic experts and assist the GIS project manager in the preparation of final reports
Maintain a proper digital inventory of all drone based data collection, analysis and mapping projects
Skills Required:
Good knowledge of aerial photogrammetry, drone technology and geospatial data handling tools and methods
Intrinsic motivation in drone data capture and analysis
Strong understanding of drone data processing software (both commercial and open source such as PIX4D, Dronedeploy, Agisoft, ODM etc.)
Experience in ArcGIS, QGIS and AutoCAD
Good interpersonal, cross-culture communication skills, proactive and self-motivated
Excellent writing skills in both Nepali and English
Qualification and Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Civil or Environmental engineering (with a thesis relevant to the use of Drone technology is preferred)
Demonstrated knowledge of Drone Photogrammetry
