Details / requirements:

Centre for Mental Health and Counselling – Nepal (CMC-Nepal), an NGO working in mental health and psychosocial field, is inviting applications for the following position required in the Psychosocial Components of Safer Migration Project of SaMi/HELVETAS implemented by CMC-Nepal.

Documentation/Monitoring Officer (1 full-time position, based in Kathmandu with field visits in project districts) is responsible for supporting psychosocial counsellors/social workers in coordination and linking with psychosocial experts in case management, case documentation and monitoring of psychosocial components of SaMi project.

Requirements:

  • Master degree in psychology or social work or relevant subjects, and working experience with migrant worker and their families in mental health and psychosocial approach
  • Having good comprehending and learning attitude in mental health and psychosocial field
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills in building rapport with the groups, supporting psychosocial counsellors/social workers
  • Good skills in data management of psychosocial support work of PS counsellors in the district, report writing skills andcase documentation skills in English, along with knowledge and skills in SPSS and other research and documentation tools.
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and establish harmonious and effective working relationships both within and outside the organization.
  • Willingness to travel and work in the remote parts of the country
  • Coordinating, networking and project monitoring skills.

This position is required to work pro-actively in a team and independently towards set objectives. S/he should have good hands-on experience in communication, monitoring, networking and problem-solving and working under pressure with multiple tasks. 

Salaries and benefits:

  • As per the Project Agreement with SaMI/Helvetas
  • Duration of the contract is for 12 months with possible extention
