Qualification & Experience

Education Level

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Degree in CS, CIS, IT, Software/Computer Engineering, or any related field of study.

Experience Required

• 4+ years of experience as a Database Administrator in MSSQL, PostgreSQL, etc.

Job Description

• Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on the projects.
• Maintain data integrity in all application database.
• Work closely with team lead to design the effective and efficient database schema with ER diagram.
• Install and configure database instances as per requirement in coordination with Infra team.
• Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required.
• Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
• Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query response.
• Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards.
• Develop and define security procedures, administrative controls, monitor user access to databases, and maintain database security.
• Understand the data structure and meaning in both the source and the target BI systems.
• Provide support of maintenance plans (including DBCC), backup, recovery, and refresh of development SQL Server databases and database capacity planning.
• Responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and periodically testing a backup and recovery plan for the databases.

Required Skills

• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of SQL, MSSQL, MSSQL Cluster, PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of Cloud is a plus.
• Should have knowledge of Linux and Windows OS.
• Ability to work independently on multiple assignments and to work collaboratively within a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills are required.
• Persuasive in both written and verbal communication.
