Introduction:
The Chef is responsible for food service facilities; customer service and equipment care who is directly responsible to Unit Catering Manager (UCM) and Quarter Master (QM) BGN for smooth running and daily management of food service to enable HQ BGN to carry out its core function.

This position is advertised at 40 hours per week.
Job description:
- Security of food items, kitchen and kitchen equipment when responsible.
- Follow the (Joint Service Publication) JSP 456 procedures.
- Any other job as directed by UCM (Unit Catering Manager) and Production NCO (Non-Commissioned Officer).
- Helps in task allocated by Master Chef/Assistant Master Chef.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Asian and European Cooking.
- Support Production NCO Non-Commissioned Officer and No 1 Cook (Head Chef).
- Follow all the Health & Safety rules and regulations in the Cookhouse.
- Ensure to follow the schedule prepared by the Unit Catering Manager.

You must have:
- Good written / spoken skills in both English and Nepali language.
- Proven experience, qualifications, and training is preferable for this role to deliver the job responsibility effectively and efficiently.
- You will be assessed on your kitchen skills/hospitality skills and food safety practices through theory assessment, practical assessment and English language skills to qualify for interviews during the sifting and selection process.
- Hospitality qualification, College qualification, training, and exposure to high standard institutions are preferred.

- Salary 66,242.00 NPR per month (Permanent).
- Gratuity after completing three years of service.

Security:
Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. The level of security needed is a Govt of Nepal Police Report for employment in Nepal.
Selection process details:
You will be an assessed-on language (English/Nepali), Kitchen/Hospitality and food safety test through Theory and Practical Assessment to qualify for the interviews after the sifting for the selection processes.
