Call for Proposals: Impact Assessment of Infrastructure Projects (Roads and Hydropower) in Kanchenjunga Conservation Area (KCA), Nepal

WWF Nepal seeks a qualified VAT-registered organization in Nepal to conduct an Impact Assessment of Infrastructure Projects (Roads and Hydropower) in the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area (KCA), Nepal.
The assessment will evaluate the impacts of existing and proposed road and hydropower projects along with climate change on biodiversity and ecosystems, with a particular focus on snow leopard habitats. The assignment includes reviewing EIAs, mapping infrastructure, conducting field-based camera trap surveys, engaging local communities and Indigenous Peoples through KIIs and FGDs, training and mobilizing citizen scientists, and developing a low-cost long-term biodiversity monitoring framework for KCAMC. The consultant will synthesize findings into actionable recommendations to strengthen natural resource safeguard measures and promote Green, Resilient, and Inclusive Infrastructure (GRID) development.
