SAHAMATI is a non-governmental, non-profit making, social development organization established in 2001/11/12 (Kartik 27, 2058) by a group of professionals and development workers with long experience in community development. This organization has been registered as an NGO under the organization registration act of Nepal. Global problems like climate change, poverty, social discrimination and migration influence Nepal's development process, demanding diversified answers. Underprivileged groups are often excluded while designing development program, unfortunate for them. SAHAMATI aims to make a change by addressing the huge challenges of the 21st century with a community-centered approach, focusing on social justice and social transformation, human rights development and self-help promotion. SAHAMATI has built a large network composed of diverse social groups, national and international organizations and like-minded institutions and have been launching various kinds of community-centered programs on collaboration. Call for Proposal- Capacity need assessment of stakeholders including duty bearers and service holders in Kandra & Kateni Sub-Watershed under Mohana River Watershed

SAHAMATI is a non-governmental, non-political and non-profit making social development organization, established in 2001 by a group of development professionals. SAHAMATI works in partnership with a range of local, national and international, government and non-government, private sectors and academic institutions. SAHAMATI believes Economic Development; Good Governance; and Environment Protection as three pillars of development and works in these areas with innovative and community led development models.

SAHAMATI Gaindakot Municipality-5 Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East) and WWF Nepal have made a partnership to implement Nature based Solutions builds on shared commitment to use NbS for disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation, with a focus on protecting people and nature through integrated, community-led approaches. The Programme targets the Kandra and Katani sub-watersheds, covering five local governments (Mohanyal Rural Municipality, Ghodaghodi Municipality, Gauri Ganga Municipality, Bhajani Municipality and Kailari Rural Municipality) at Kailali district of Sudhur Paschim province which are ecologically important for Basanta Corridor. It addresses key issues across the watershed: forest degradation, landslides, water scarcity, riverbank cutting, wetland loss, flood, and groundwater depletion. Through consultations with local stakeholders, civil society, and Indigenous peoples and Local Communities (IPLCs), the program is implementing NbS interventions that promote climate and DRR resilience, restore ecosystems, promote resilient community and strengthen local governance. The initiative aims to serve as a model for integrating conservation and humanitarian efforts in high-risk landscapes.

SAHAMATI seeks expertise to conduct Capacity need assessment of stakeholders including duty bearers and service holders in the two watershed - Kandra and Katani sub-watersheds of Kailali district. officially for the proposal from interested expert consultant or firms, companies for carrying out the above-mentioned assessment.

Therefore, interested consulting firms/individuals are requested to apply/submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) with the concept noteincluding the proposed methodology, work plan and timeline for policy development.The closing date for application is 13th August 2025.
