Call for expression of interest (EOI)

International Alert has worked for over 30 years for sustainable development and peace. Working in over 25 countries, we aim to support governments own development efforts and help build skills and capacity through strengthening public service delivery, promoting community voice and resilience to gender-based violence, and support inclusive development initiatives for peace and stability. International Alert has been working in Nepal since 2004 on issue of security and justice, governance and community development, and safety and socioeconomic empowerment of women and youth. 1. Conduct an impact assessment of Alert’s work with local governments in Nepal

2. Develop and deliver capacity-building action modules to enhance capacity of media houses and journalists

Interested and qualified Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and networks from Lumbini, Karnali and Sudhurpaschim Province are encouraged to apply to develop and deliver capacity-building action modules to enhance the capacity of media houses and journalists on evidence-based journalism, investigative journalism, and the safety and security of journalists. One of the key elements of this action is to continuously strengthen the capacity of journalists to act as key change makers and contribute to promoting transparency, and mutual accountability and strengthen the democratic process. The last date for proposal submission is 6 October 2024, 5:00 pm. For detailed view of the scope of work please refer to the ToR below:

3. Reasearch on Federalism – case study on Madhesi and Tharu community
