Background:

Justice and Rights Institute- Nepal (JuRI Nepal), established in 2011 working as a non-profit organization and responds to the existing and emerging human rights, accountability and good governance concerns, upholding the principles of human rights, gender equality, cherishing diversity, advocating zero-tolerance of any violence, discrimination and corruption, works independence of any political influence and corporate interest. It brings together human rights professionals with an extensive experience in human rights, the rule of law, gender, inclusion, disability, and social justice. JuRI-Nepal aims to create a fair, just, and inclusive democratic society where everyone can enjoy their human rights.

JuRI- Nepal is collaborating with multiple development partners. Most of the activities implementing under different projects aims to support promoting gender equality and Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights, respond GBV, and support strengthening gender-responsive governance, promoting rule of law and inclusive governance. 

To strengthen our pool of experts and ensure high-quality delivery across JuRI Nepal projects, we invite Expression of Interest (EOI) interested individuals and firms for 2026 and onward. The Consultant Roster will serve as a reference for short-term consultancy, and special assignments across various technical areas. The Roster will be used for the procurement of goods and services, as needed.  

Required areas of services: 

GESI, GRB, GBV including TFGBV, Harmful Practices, Human Rights, Rule of Law, ESCR and Inclusive Governance Experts: 

The Responsibilities of the expert/s will be as followings (or/and basis):

• Support local government units to follow up support and endorse GESI-CIP.
• Review/finalization of research papers on gender, human rights, SRHR and harmful practices.
• Capacity building on Gender Responsive Budgeting and tailoring of GRB handbook developed by JuRI. 
• Legal and policy review and development of policy brief on Technology Facilitated Gender Based Violence (TFGBV) and Technology Facilitated Child Marriage (TFCM). 
• Capacity Building of Judicial Committee Members. 
• Research on strengthening local governance and policy review on intergovernmental dispute settlement. 
• Capacity building of CSOs on ESCR/monitoring of rights including remedial mechanisms.
• Legal reforms from GEDSI perspective.
• Review on intergovernmental dispute settlement 

Timeline and Application Procedure:

All interested individuals/experts (Nepali only) are requested to respond to this EOI by submitting the updated CV and required documents by 12 February 2026 in the email address of JuRI Nepal: info@jurinepal.org.np

Interested individuals should submit: 

• Updated CV 
• In case of CV (min. completion of Master Degree with at least five years relevant work experience). 
• Copy of PAN/VAT Certificate 

Selection & Use of Roster

Selected applicants will be included in JuRI's expert roster for upcoming and possible assignments, with opportunities for short-term assignments or expert services as required. 

Inclusion in the roster does not guarantee immediate assignment but ensures consideration for future opportunities.

Assignments will be offered based on need, expertise, availability of availability of project funds.
