Job Description
Position: Business Development Officer
Gross Salary: Attractive package reflecting competencies and experience.
Working Days: 5 days a week (Mon-Friday, 900am to 530pm), flexible within COVID pandemic period.
Contract: Long Term
Location: Maharajgunj, Kathmandu (Central Office). See for detailed location.
Reporting to: Business Development Lead
We are seeking a proactive individual to join our team as a Business Development Officer (BDO). As an aspirant for this position, you will assist in the business development process from portal-based market research, pre-positioning, coordinate Expression of Interest (EOI) & Bid preparations. You will connect with key development partners in Nepal to apprise them of the firm's strengths and capabilities.
As a BDO, you will engage in meeting with potential clients, consulting partners at the international and national levels and explore new partnerships. Internally, you will prepare well inside the organisation to demonstrate our unique competencies. You will support updating the content for the company website and social media to reflect the firm's strengths and ongoing projects. You will also coordinate in organising the firm's strong CV database and update marketing materials. As BDO, you should be able to access the available resources and deliver results of high quality.
Skills Required
- University Degree in MBA, International Development and other management and business development-related advanced degrees from reputed organisations.
- Ability to organize and plan well and establish priorities, meet deadlines and initiate and implement activities with minimal oversight and supervision
- Minimum five years of research experience in the development sector.
- Possess strong report writing skills.
Other considerations
- Good understanding of the Nepali and international development sector
- Available for interview week commencing 7th December 2020 (video conference if necessary)
