EC is affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (SWC), Kathmandu, and is an active member of provincial and national development networks. With over 31 years of implementation experience. EC is actively implementing development and humanitarian programs in Dailekh and Kalikot districts of Karnali Province. The organization adopts an integrated, community-led approach across Health and Nutrition (including MNCH), WASH and Sanitation, Education, Child Rights and Governance, Food Security and Livelihoods, Youth and Women’s Empowerment, Social Protection, Disaster Risk Reduction, and Resilience, Climate Change, and environmental sustainability. EC works in close partnership with local governments and international and national partners, to reach marginalized and hard-to-reach communities.

Everest Club (EC), Dailekh with the partnership of One Heart Worldwide is implementing “Strengthening Maternal Neonatal Health Services in Partnership with the Local Government (स्थानीय सरकारको साझेदारीमा मातृ तथा नवजात शिशु स्वास्थ्य सेवा सुदृढिकरण) project in Dailekh from April 2023. Everest Club (EC) Dailekh hereby invites applications from suitable and qualified Nepalese citizens for the following positions:

Position: Admin and Finance Assistant Officer – 1 (One)

Line Management Report to: Project Coordinator

Technical Report to: OHW Grants Officer

Duty Station: District Headquarters.

Purpose of the Position:

The Admin and Finance Assistant Officer will be responsible for financial management, office administration and logistics management of the OHW project in the District Project Office.   

Major Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Properly register and file all correspondence and official documents
  • Provide support during the conduction of program activities, training and meetings
  • Procurement of stationery/supplies following procurement policy
  • Arrange for travel, transportation, accommodations and other logistics support
  • Ensure maintenance of the logbook for the official vehicle and timely servicing and maintenance of the office vehicle
  • Prepare and submit monthly attendance, travel and leave records
  • Prepare monthly payroll, deposit salary at the staff bank account and contribution to the SSF account
  • Prepare tax reports for employees, vendors and contracts and arrange payments to the tax office in a timely manner
  • Maintain personnel records of project staff as per organization guidelines
  • Maintain a record of supplies and equipment received 
  • Establish and timely update the inventory records and conduct physical verification as required
  • Orient the HFOMC/construction committee of BC construction/renovation on financial guidelines, and procedures, collect and submit the supporting documents for advance settlement timely
  • Review and process invoices, bills and documents received for payments and maintain financial transactions in accounting software timely
  • Ensure all expenses are within the assigned budget code and check the completeness of all required supporting documentation for all payments vouchers
  • Cross-verify bills and documents received for payments on a regular basis and document it
  • Support supervisor for preparation of monthly fund forecast and request
  • Prepare monthly financial reports including reconciliations of general ledger accounts
  • Prepare bank reconciliation and outstanding advance statement
  • Handle Petty cash as per organization policy
  • Any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor

Job Specifications (minimum job requirements):

Academic qualifications and work experience: 

  • 10+2 Management/ or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Studies.
  • Minimum two years of work experience in finance, administration and logistics. 

Skills and abilities

  • Experience utilizing computers including knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Office, and Accounting software. 
  • Fluency in English and Nepali language.
