Technical Project Manager

TITLE: TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER

The Technical Project Manager will develop and maintain a broad scope project plan, outlining tasks, milestones, status reports, and allocation of resources across multiple projects. S/he will be responsible for clearly defining and quantifying each step, as well as establishing concreate deadlines for each project milestone and deliverable. The TPM will also be responsible for researching and utilizing most-effective software solutions for project management practices. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Must ensure teams follow the correct procedures, policies, and documentation requirements across project phases
• Guide the team through the development, testing, and implementation stages and review the completed work effectively
• Provide direction and technical expertise in design, development, and systems integration
• Must run cross-team meetings, “Scrum” standups and retrospectives, manage project processes, and ensure necessary documentation is available to keep the teams running smoothly
• Make quick decisions and solve technical problems to provide an efficient environment for project implementation
• Identify resource requirements, capacity plan, and manage software and hardware availability
• Must provide technical training to teams when required and serve as a technical mentor to team members
• Present on project statuses, with monthly and annual reports to senior management
• Meet with client teams, gather requirements, conduct regular team meetings and track project progress
• Provide an efficient working atmosphere to project teams and ensure objectives are met on time
• Understand project requirements, coordinate with resources, and guide decisions to move projects in the right direction
• Understand different programming languages, with the ability to solve problems in coding, testing and deployment

REQUIREMENT: 

• 5+ years’ experience in a related technical management role
• Comprehensive knowledge of technical project management skills
• Experience leading large-scale technology product development and services
• Experience with implementing Agile concepts and the “Scrum”SDLC
• Positive, team-oriented attitude that inspires confidence and motivates teammates!
• Experience implementing best practices for testing, release and operational support
• Good knowledge of different software systems, client/server architectures, and various compatibility requirements
• Proficiency in handling the most complex of technical development concepts, latest software tools and technologies, and strong database concepts and designing techniques
• Ability to delegate and allocate responsibilities effectively throughout SDLC
• Ability to manage change and effectively transfer knowledge for flawless execution
• Ability to communicate effectively with teams and clients
• Willingness to work off-hours preferred

EDUCATION: Minimum Bachelor in Computer Science or related engineering degree. MBA would be preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Prior 5 years and above experience in a relevant field would be preferred and favorable
