Senior Software Engineer

GrowByData is looking for a highly experienced individual, capable of working in all the layers of the Solution Development and Delivery spectrum, to join our team as a Senior Software Engineer.

REQUIREMENTS

• Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English
• Drive to contribute ideas and share knowledge proactively
• Experience in working as part of a team, preferably with Scrum/Agile/Kanban development experience
• Expert skills in PHP and MVC frameworks such as Zend, Kohana, CodeIgniter, as well as an understanding of Test-Driven Development.
• 5+ years of data driven enterprise software development experience
• Excellent knowledge of relational database systems such as MySQL, and experience with or exposure to NoSQL systems such as MongoDB/Hadoop
• Strong skills in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and front end frameworks such as Knockout/Backbone/Angular
• Good understanding of server and cloud computing technologies from providers such as AWS and Rackspace is a plus, as well as experience with Git/GitHub or similar DVCS, and experience in building very high traffic web assets

BONUS QUALITIES:

• Experience in automated testing frameworks and experience working in a CD pipeline
• Experience in managing client expectations and identify issues/events that may affect delivery
• Knowledge on ETL Tools Development, Big Data technology and Mobile application development

The right candidate must have excellent communication, planning, reporting, monitoring, and client interfacing skills. He or she will have experience anticipating client needs before they arise, analyzing technical and functional design requirements, identifying system deficiencies, and recommending solutions.
