Rural Development Tuki Association (RDTA), is a pioneering community based developmental organization established in 1991 in Dolakha. RDTA gained its legal status with registration under Government of Nepal, District Administrative Office, Dolakha in 1991. It is registered in Social Welfare Council and affiliated with NGO Federation of Nepal as well. RDTA is a union of Tukis spread throughout the Dolakha district. Tuki is a community based model leader farmer who is empowered on various social developmental phenomenons and can disseminate what s/he has learned in the community. So, Tukis are agencies for pioneering knowledge dissemination and community development.There are Tukis in almost every village of the district. RDTA aims to uplift the living standard of poor and marginalized peoples. It is determined to give momentum to sustainable community development initiative through good governance, community empowerment, sustainable resource mobilization and institutional development.

Rural Development Tuki Association (RDTA), registered in 1991 at District Administration Office Dolakha, is a nonprofit making nongovernmental organization. RDTA founded on the base of Tuki Approach- an exemplified emblem of bottom up community developmental approach in Nepal. Since its inception it has been working in an integrated model of community development having partnerships with different development agencies and partners, especially being focused in Dolakha district of Nepal.

After the devastating Earthquake and its major aftershocks of 2015, this association has been implementing several relief and recovery projects in Dolakha.

This association is seeking a qualified and dynamic Nepali citizen for the post of program manager to implement several recovery and reconstruction related projects running in Dolakha district in partnership  with Save the Children International (SCI).

POSITION: PROJECT MANAGER
 
No of Position: 1 (One)

Location: Dolakha with frequent field visit

The program manager will be responsible to:

  • Bear responsibility to implement emergency response, recovery and reconstruction related projects running in Dolakha district in partnership  with Save the Children International (SCI)
  • Build coordination with district level line agencies, development organizations, RDTA structures, and stakeholders
  • Planning, budgeting, implement, regular supervision of the project activities and timely completion of the projects achieving the target
  • Support to mobilization of team and resources providing supports to projects
  • Prepare required documents, fulfill the compliances and timely reporting to the donors
  • Prepare timely programme progress reports
  • Support to capacity building of project staffs.
  • Perform such other responsibilities as agreed with line management


Qualification/Skills Required:

  • A Nepali National, having age of 30 years and above.
  • At least of Bachelor Degree in Sociology, Social Work, Development Studies or any other relevant disciplines
  • At least 2 years of substantial experience in managerial capacity/relevant post
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in the field of program management
  • Project planning, proposal and report writing is must,
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Good communication skill in English and Nepali,
  • Sound knowledge in computer (MS Office and Outlook)
  • Having good interpersonal qualities and facilitation skills, result oriented, leadership, proactive, and positive attitude are other required qualities for the position.
