Principle Software Engineer/Architect

RESPONSIBILITIES

Database

• Enhance product architecture, while working on existing business intelligence
• Create well-structured ETL jobs, using an ETL tool like SSIS or alternative
• Increase the capabilities of the extract, transform, and load (ETL) layer for data operations
• Experience with data warehouse and data marts
• Hands-on with an open source BI platform (Pentaho or JasperSoft)
• Work on data modeling, design, and development of Data Warehouse
• Working knowledge with Big Data and NoSQL concepts, primarily Hadoop/MongoDB or alternative
• Provide DBA support

Application

• Good knowledge of web application development with ASP.net
• Design patterns and use case development
• Scrum/Agile/Kanban process experience 
• Source code version control with Subversion/Git
• Unit Testing / Integration Testing tools such as JUnit, TestRunner
• Use and develop continuous integration tools such as CruiseControl, Ant
• Familiar with cloud-based deployments like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud, Windows Azure, Rackspace, etc.

The right candidate must have excellent communication, planning, reporting, monitoring, and client interfacing skills. Must possess the ability to recruit, manage, mentor, and retain engineering team. Must have 10+ years of experience building enterprise software applications in multiple languages.
