Internal Audit and Compliance Officer
Lumanti Support Group for Shelter is a non-government organisation dedicated to the alleviation of urban poverty in Nepal through the improvement of shelter conditions. At Lumanti, shelter means the whole living environment, therefore, Lumanti's activities are wide-ranging. They include shelter upgrades, micro-finance, education and children's programmes, good governance, gender equity and advocacy. Lumanti means "memory" in the Newari language. The organization was established in 1993 in the memory of Ramesh Manandhar who died in a plane crash in 1992. Ramesh was a driving force behind moves in the early 1990's to raise awareness about urban poverty and shelter conditions.
Details / requirements:
SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES TO BE PERFORMED:
- Daily and Periodic review of vouchers, financial reports, of all the project site offices andhead office of Lumanti and ensure for proper and adequate documentation.
- Timely monitor & evaluate of financial transaction of field offices.
- Prepare timely finding reports, share with respective staffs and recommend/ suggest for improvements and follow-up accordingly.
- Communicate and correspond with the related organization and individuals as necessary.
- Assure the financial utilization against program progress report.
- Ensure timely tax updates, confirm tax payments are made timely, review regularly store management Process.
- Ensure the policy of Lumanti and funding partner are well followed.
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in management/ or intermediate in Chartered Accountant with previous experience in internal audit in development sector.
- Good Interpersonal and communicational Skill
- Gender sensitive
- Good knowledge in MS Excel.
