Information and Communications Officer

Practical Action is an INGO which aims to reduce poverty through wider use of appropriate technologies in developing countries. It works in more than 45 countries through its offices in Bangladesh, Bolivia, India, Kenya, Nepal, Peru, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Sudan and Zimbabwe. Practical Action seeks to recruit an ‘Information and Communications Officer’ for the ‘Strengthening Supply Chain of the Construction Materials and Tools’ Project funded with UKaid from the UK government.

Reporting to the Project Manager, s/he will be responsible to provide expertise support to strengthen communications component of the project, develop Market Information System (MIS), finalising contents and the language of the knowledge products. Bachelor's degree in any discipline preferably in communications related subject with three years’ experience in designing MIS, content preparation, English language editing and communication material design and production is required. Understanding of GIS will be an added advantage.
