PHASE (Practical Help Achieving Self-Empowerment) Nepal is a non profit making organization established in 2006. It has been implementing integrated community development projects in remote villages of 5 districts with a vision of self empowered and self sustained society where all kind of discrimination is absent. PHASE seeks to recruit following positions for its’ new expansion area:

POST:
Field Health Coordinator (BPH/HA/Staff Nurse with minimus +2 YEARS' EXPERIENCE in remorte area)

NUMBER OF VACANT POSTS: 3

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This is a supervisory position in PHASE Nepal and the job holder is mainly responsible for proper implementation of planned health activities on behalf of the organization and supervise other health staff in the field. Oversee the implementation, coordination, development, expansion, monitoring and evaluation of all health programmes within allocated resources and timeframe. Assist in preparing various health programme and reports; collection, analysis and interpretation of baseline, mid-term and final survey data.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES: BPH/HA/Staff Nurse with at least 2 years of practical experience in the field of primary health service- both curative and preventive; and or having experience of health supervisory role in rural area.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES: Having good time management skill, staff supervision skills, good communication and interpersonal skill, capable of lateral thinking, sharp, bright and eager to learn with positive attitude.

MONTHLY SALARY: Starting Salary: Nrs 21,200 while for Kathmandu, Nrs 25,700 for Sindhupalchok & Kavre, Nrs 28,000-31,200 for Gorkha, Nrs 30,000 - 35000 for Bajura, Nrs 35,000 - 39,000 for Humla (including monthly salary, field allowance and food allowance)

OTHER BENEFITS: 

  • Provident fund facility @10% of basic salary (after probation period of 6 months). 
  • Medical facility of up to Nrs 10,000/- per year for actual expenses on pro rata basis for employee (after probation period of 6 months). 
  • Festival allowance @ one month’s salary on pro rata basis (after probation period of 6 months). 
  • TA/DA facilities of actual transport cost and Nrs 900 per day for official travel days (from start). 
  • Accidental insurance of Nrs 6 lakhs (from start). 
  • Leave facility of 24 days of annual leave, 12 days of sick leave and 17 days of public holidays excluding Saturdays.

PLEASE NOTE: It is up to 3 days walk from road for Gorkha project, 2 days from airport in Humla, up to 2 days walk for Bajura, 1-3 hours for Sindhupalchok project. Supervisors work on rotation so it is not for particular district and you will be always on move with occasional visit to Kathmandu office and remaining time in the field.
