The International Organization for Migration is seeking qualified Nepali Nationals for the following positions based in Chautara, Sindhupalchowk.

Vacancy Notice No: VN#NP/110/15

Position Title: Facility Manager- 1 position 

Classification: SAI, 6 months with possibility of extension, ungraded (equivalent to Grade – 5)

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, direct, and supervise all administrative and operational aspects of the facility including security, transportation, housekeeping, catering, laundry, water and waste disposal Supervision and leadership of the health care team on a daily basis 
  • Assists in development, implementation and revision of individual treatment plans; ensuring that services provided are specified in the treatment plan and monitors progress toward treatment goals 
  • Report patient progress to the Medical Coordinator and the triage focal point at the district hospital when requested 
  • Revise the personnel requirements for the facility; recommend and implement appropriate actions to maintain an adequate number of competent staff in consultation with the Medical Coordinator 
  • Manage the roster of staff to ensure that services are provided uninterrupted 
  • Establish and implement an ongoing program of orientation and ongoing training for personnel assigned to the facility 
  • Establish and maintain a system for the immediate inspection and repair of equipment used in the facility 
  • Maintain all operational policies and procedures within the facility to ensure the provision of safe, efficient services 
  • Monthly reporting to the District Health Office on facility activities and patient outcomes 
  • Active participation in hospital committees as they relate to the facility, specifically on injury and rehabilitation care 
  • Liaise with partners in the district providing primary health care and rehabilitation services 
  • Other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor/s 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES: 

  • Bachelor degree in Nursing, and a minimum of 3-5 years relevant clinical nursing experience
  • Previous experience in management of health facilities/services, experience in rehabilitation care is a plus 
  • Knowledge and understanding of computerized information systems, in particular Microsoft Word and Excel 
  • Excellent analytical skills and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills (working knowledge of English required)
