Details / requirements:

SEBAC-Nepal, a leading NGO working in the WASH sector, has been implementing two five-year projects titled ‘Safe-WASH II’ and ‘Saafa Paani’ supported by the USAID. The projects are designed to contribute towards the well-being of rural communities of Nepal through improved water, sanitation and hygiene practices. In this regard, SEBAC invites application for the following positions from interested, eligible, and result oriented Nepalese citizens who are reliable, accountable, have an ability to deliver results

01. Job title: District Program Manager (DPM)

Contract type: Fixed Term (up to 3 years)

Duty Station: Chautara, Sindhupalchowk

Project: Saafa Paani

No of Position: 1

Key responsibilities:

  • The DPM will be one of the key personnel of the project and will be responsible for overall management of the project including planning, operation and reporting functions at Sindhupalchowk as the officer in-charge. 
  • S/he will be a WASH professional having extensive experience in project management of similar nature. The DPM will ensure planning, implementation and monitoring of the whole project intervention. S/he shall coordinate, liaise with all WASH partners as well as DWSSO and DWASHCCs and write all types of project reports according to contractual agreement and submit to Chief of Party. 

Required qualification and experiences:

  • The DPM will have at least a minimum bachelor degree (preferred master) in social science or any related discipline with at least seven years of work experiences of the related field.

02. Job title: Monitoring, Documentation & Reporting Officer (MDRO)

Contract type: Fixed Term Project (3 years)

Duty Station: Chautara, Sindhupalchowk

Project: Saafa Paani

No of Position: 1

Key responsibilities:

  • The MDRO will be responsible for program monitoring, evaluation and documentation including reporting of all project activities of Saafa Paani program of Sindhupalchowk and Dolakha. Further, s/he will be responsible for designing project monitoring framework, overall field data collection, processing and documentation of marking and branding including dissemination and preparing progress reports.

Required qualification and experiences:

  • Minimum Bachelors’ degree in Social Science, English, Journalism or any other related field.  At least two years of job related experience.

03. Job title: Admin and Procurement Officer (APO)

Contract type: Fixed Term Project (3 years)

Duty Station: Chautara, Sindhupalchowk

Project: Saafa Paani

No of Position:1

Key responsibilities:

  • APO will be responsible for the acquisition of goods and services for the organization. S/he will be responsible for overall procurement of project goods, storage and monitor supply and storage system. S/he will support in hiring a construction contractor for the construction activities through identifying genuine and reliable vendors and maintain materials supply chain function.

Required qualification and experiences:

  • The APO should have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant line of work such as business, finance, construction management, and 5 years of work experience in the acquisition of goods and services of the nature required for the implementation of the program, in particular, construction materials among others. 

04. Job title: Senior GESI Coordinator

Contract type: Fixed Term Project (3 years)

Duty Station: Dhangadi, Kailali

Project: Safe-WASH II

Key responsibilities:

  • The overall responsibilities of Gender and Social Inclusion Coordinator (GESI)  will be spearheading the strategic leadership and provide technical guidance from the gender and social inclusion perspectives in and across the program components of Safe WASH II, to ensure that the GESI is main streamed into programs and policies. She will develop, adapt and apply guidelines, strategies and work plans to ensure that gender issues are properly analyzed identified and addresses in the program and policies (WASH ODF and Post ODF program).
  • She will be responsible for planning, coordination, and stakeholder (development agencies and government offices) collaboration, and advocating for Chhaupadi reduction and menstrual hygiene management in the region.The GESI will be based in Dhangadi, Kailali and provide support throughout the program.

Required qualification and experiences:

  • Bachelor degree in Gender, Women studies, Social Science, Rural Development or any other relevant subject with significant working experience in gender analysis and in depth knowledge in gender and social issues. At least 5 years of job experience and having good computer knowledge and strong report writing skills are preferred.
