Assessment of the implementation of Micro Planning for Family Planning Program

The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) is a global humanitarian agency that seeks to identify and address social distortions and deprivation in developing countries. Through its international network ADRA works in more than 130 countries with people in poverty and distress to create just and positive change through empowering partnerships and responsible action. ADRA has been active in Nepal since 1987 with a successful portfolio of Health Program in 29 out of 75 districts during last 8 years (2009 to 2017) serving to the unreached population in the remotest villages of the remote districts form east to far western region of Nepal. ADRA Nepal is currently working with DFID/UNFPA in the areas of Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health (ASRH) and family planning (FP).

Thus, ADRA Nepal with financial assistance from UNFPA Nepal Country Office is planning to carry out an independent assessment of the Family Planning Micro-Planning programme. The planned assessment has three main purposes: (i) assess the performance of districts in achieving results and on invested resources for micro planning (ii) support evidence based decision making for programming and implementation of FP component of NHSS – IP; (iii) capture lessons learnt and use it for the acceleration of future similar interventions in line with the NHSS Implementation Plan. 

Minimum requirements of applicant:

The scope of this Request for consultancy service requires an individual consultant to apply. The individual consultant must have experts in public health and family planning with several years of experiences in relevant field. They must have a proven track record of undertaking research or assessment especially in the field of Family Planning.

Research Experts (for four Months) with Master’s Degree in a Public Health/Research/Development with several years of experiences in leading complex qualitative and quantitative research/assessment is a must. Prior work experience of conducting assessmenton FP/RH programs will be considered an advantage.

Research Associates (Only for 20 days) should be experienced on research activity or data collection with similar research and have public health, sociology, development study and nursing degree.
