Tuki Association Sunkoshi is a community based NGO working in child education, child protection, health and nutrition, livelihood, shelter and several development activities. It has been working with several development partner agencies. Now the organization is looking for proactive, self motivated, qualified, experienced and committed human resources to work in "Reconstruction and Recovery Program" especially (i) Safer shelter, (ii) Health and (iii) Food Security & Livelihood support for earthquake affected community of Sindhupalchok. 

Position: Project Coordinator (Shelter)

Required number: 1

Period: Fixed term contract for 6 months 

Qualification:

  • Master degree in Civil Engineering with minimum one year of work experience or Bachelor's Degree (B.E.) in Civil Engineering with minimum three years of work experience in related field. 

Responsibility:

  • Overall responsible in planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting and coordination  

Duties:             

  • The position holder will be responsible for undertaking field level shelter activities with supervisory role of Shelter Officers, Shelter Technicians and Shelter Community Mobilizers. This will include being involved in shelter strengthening and key messaging activities, recovery and reconstruction support activities, assessments, monitoring, and activities to support longer term recovery and reconstruction. Some aspects of this position will require working within very remote communities and so the post holder should be prepared to walk for long distances and sleep overnight in remote locations when necessary.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with local authorities, donor INGOs, other NGOs and any other stakeholders, whilst representing Tuki Association and ensuring good co-operation and partnerships.
  • Generation of the final and interim reporting of the project. 
  • Undertake shelter condition assessments preparing all necessary paperwork
  • Complete necessary monitoring & evaluation procedures for activities
  • Oversee the technical design and execution of shelter improvement activities
  • Manage the assigned shelter projects to meet project objectives.
  • Work closely with project manager on planning future work.
  • Assist in translation as needed
  • Communicate implementation problems or issues to project manager.

Position: Project Coordinator (Health)

Period: Fixed term contract for 6 months 

Qualification:

  • Master's degree in Public Health (MPH) with minimum one year of work experience or Bachelor's Degree in Public Health (BPH) with minimum three years of work experience in related field. 

Responsibility:

  • Overall responsible in planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting and coordination  

Duties:  

  • The position holder will be responsible for health programs in the district. S/he will oversee health interventions in the district related to the earthquake emergency response. The main purpose of the post is to ensure effective implementation of health programs with quality assurance. S/he will also be responsible to mentoring, coaching and capacity building of health officer.
  • Coordinate with District Health Office (DHO) and health facilities of working area on a regular basis.

  • Substantial experience in implementation of health programs including monitoring and supervision

Position: Project Officer (Health)

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Health (BPH) with minimum 1 year of work experience in related field. 

Responsibility:

  • Responsible in implementation, monitoring, reporting and VDC level coordination.

Duties:  

  • The position holder will be responsible for undertaking field level health activities with supervisory role of for Health Community Mobilizers.
  • S/he will oversee health interventions in the community level in close coordination with Project Coordinator. The main purpose of the post is to ensure effective implementation of health programs with quality assurance. S/he will also be responsible to mentoring, coaching and capacity building of community mobilizers.
  • Coordinate with health facilities of working area on a regular

Position: Project Coordinator (Food Security and Livelihood "FSL") 

Required number: 1

Period: Fixed term contract for 6 months 

Qualification:

  • Master degree in Agriculture/Livestock with minimum one year of work experience or Bachelor degree in Agriculture/Livestock with minimum three years of work experience in related field. 

Responsibility:

  • Overall responsible in planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting and coordination  

Duties:  

  • The position holder will be responsible for undertaking field level FSL related activities with supervisory role of FSL officer,  and FSL Community Mobilizers.
  • Implement the overall designed program activities mobilizing available human resources and local resources effectively at the field level that support to achieve the desired goal of the organization.
  • Oversee project implementation to ensure timely delivery of project activities in the district as per agreed plan.
  • Program and financial tracking of the project activities on a regular basis and follow up for action plan.
  • Proper monitoring of the program implementation for ensuring progress with respect to timeline.
  • Report on a timely basis about the program progress including issues and concerns.

  • Provide feedback and suggestions to the concern, project officer,  technical officer, JT/JTA and community mobilizer about ongoing community development programs and policies of the local GoN line agencies, I/NGOs and other agencies that can be incorporated into the programs of the organization.
  • Ensure the innovative idea, built of linkage and network of the community organization to enlarge their entrepreneurship skill and capacity incorporating with designed program and available local technology and resources.

Position: Finance Officer  

Required number: 1

Period: Fixed term contract for 6 months 

Qualification:

  • Bachelor degree in Management (BBS/BBA) with minimum two years of work experience or in related field. 

Responsibility:

  • Overall responsible in planning, financial tracking, reporting and documentation of Accounting and financial administrative work.  

 

Position: Logistics and Admin Officer  

Required number: 1

Period: Fixed term contract for 6 months 

Qualification:

  • Bachelor degree in management or related stream with minimum two years of work experience in related field. Preference will be given to the candidate working in INGO or NGO environment.

Responsibility:

  • Planning, handling, recording, reporting, logistics, procurement and administrative documentation and other relevant work.  

 

Position: Civil Sub Engineer /Asst sub Engineer  

Required number: 4

Period: Fixed term contract for 6 months 

Qualification:

  • Diploma in civil engineering with minimum one year experience or Technical SLC on construction with minimum three years of work experience in related field. 

Responsibility:

  • Responsible in assessment, site supervision, pre-feasibility study, implementation of shelter construction, community awareness activities through community mobilization including reporting and documentation of assigned work.  

Working duration of all the above mentioned positions are extendable subject to availability of fund.

Working area: Different VDCs of Sindhupalchok district.
