PHP LAMP Programmer

Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced PHP and LAMP Developer, with strong JavaScript and CSS skills.  CakePHP or similar framework experience highly desirable.

You will get the opportunity to work on an exciting brand new project, where you can have great influence on the project direction.

Some of your work hours each day will need to be during US work hours.  You will be able to do some of your work from home, as well as the office.

 You will:

• Take high level design specs and then quickly turn out efficient code with minimal bugs
• Interact with the development team to help guide new product features and bug fixes

Job specification

The ideal candidate will be a fast learner with experience developing web based applications. Experience with creating API’s would be highly advantageous. 

You will have broad experience with cloud-based app development and will have most of the following skills:

PHP

CakePHP or similar framework

Linux (Centos Preferred)

MySQL

JavaScript

CSS

JQuery

JSON

 An ideal candidate will also have:

• Familiarity with multiple platforms and operating systems " primarily Centos Linux"

• Attention to detail and the drive to get things done

• Pro-active, problem solving attitude and ability to work calmly under pressure

• At least a Bachelor degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent

• Experience of working unsociable hours and the ability to manage work load and hours independently

OTHER SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

10am – 7pm (flexible)

Will need to be available outside of these hours for the occasional meeting.
