Job Summary

Radio/TV Program Production and Broadcasting

Responsibilities

  • Handle and manage social media or other alternative channels of Antenna Foundation Nepal and its programs, particularly the web content for "Doko" Multimedia Mela taking place in around 16 districts of Nepal,
  • Possibly update content and assist in managing the Antenna Foundation Nepal website,
  • Able to produce audio/video content,
  • Coordinate and collect VDO materials for documentary shows during the "Doko" Multimedia Mela event,
  • Develop video and photo content of the "Doko" Multimedia Mela event activities including audience stories and other materials,
  • Develop 15-30 minutes powerful documentary emphasizing the impact of "Doko" Multimedia Mela at the end of the project period,
  • Assist in editing and finalization of different audio/visual reports/scripts proposed by production team members and local FM Station's reporters,
  • Assist in coordinating with assigned Doko Multimedia Mela team, technicians and FM coordinator for the smooth production and broadcast of the event,
  • Extensively travel within the country to collect materials for Antenna’s programs,
  • Update contents in the website, social media and other possible alternative channels regularly,
  • Gather audience feedback through different modes, e.g. SMS, telephone, social media, field visits and incorporate it in the program regularly in coordination with Program Director,
  • Research and provide background materials for any element of the media contents when requested,
  • Provide creative input to all productions of Antenna,
  • Be ready to be involved in any other program assigned by Antenna regarding the Doko Multimedia Mela,
  • Report the program updates to Program Director,
  • Contribute regularly to the development of AFN, its objectives through sharing of information and its institutional learning efforts,
  • Participate at pre-and post-production, advisory committee and other meetings called by Antenna,

Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication & Journalism or equivalent with at least 2 years' experience of working in Journalism field
  • Sound knowledge and experience on handling camera and video production
  • Familiar with editing and design software of audio, video and picture
  • Excellent skill of Multi-media story telling
  • Available to join office immediately
