Gorkha Gaun Resort was born out of a dream to create a place of retreat in a small gaun (village) environment. Using local resources our team works to provide a space to relax while ensuring the sustainable development of the local community. As an initiative to Responsible Tourism, Gorkha Gaun generates most of its electrical energy from solar panels, has plans for its own waste water treatment and water recycling systems, harvesting bio-gas, harvesting and recharging rain water. Gorkha Gaun has total of 16 rooms in operation with restaurant/bar and outdoor seating. Our total team members will be around 20 – 25 during our full operation period. Our Vision is to be recognized as one of the best resorts (in our category of resorts) in Nepal by 2020. We try to take sustainable approach in everything we do. Marketing and Office Associate – 1 based in Kathmandu
Job Description
Marketing and Office Associate’s (MOA) position will be based in Kathmandu with periodic visit to Gorkha Gaun as per the need and instruction by your supervisor. MOA will work in direct supervision of Marketing Manager (MM) and Director. It is expected that MOA works independently and proactively.
You will be required to visit Agents, Tour operators, I/NGOs/Aid agencies regularly to promote GG in close coordination with MM. MOA is expected to work in close coordination with MM to increase the relationship and network with clients
MOA will be responsible to do office administrative work such as filing, answering phone calls, visiting different governmental and non-governmental organizations, banks and communicating with vendors etc. in close coordination with the Directors.
MOA will work in close coordination with MM and will report to the Directors.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of marketing, sales and finance
- Support marketing manager and Director in organizing various projects
- Conduct market research and analyze the results to prepare sales plan in coordination with Marketing Manager
- Update spreadsheets, databases and inventories with statistical, financial and other relevant information
- Assist in the organizing of promotional events and traditional or digital campaigns
- Prepare and deliver promotional presentations to Tour Operators/Agents
- Compose and post online content on the company’s website and social media accounts
- Write marketing literature (brochures, press releases etc) to augment the company’s presence in the market
- Communicate directly with clients and encourage trusting relationships
- Perform office administrative work such as; answer, screen and transfer inbound phone calls
- Carry out general administrative and clerical task, prepare, compile and sort documents for data entry
- Enter data from source documents into prescribed computer database, files and forms
- Store completed documents in designated locations
- Comply with data integrity and security policies
Requirements
- 10 + 2 completed with bachelor’s running or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality or any relevant field will be an added value
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience in a similar position will be an added value
- Proven experience in successful implementation of a wide range of responsibilities in a prior job
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Nepali
- Good presentation skills
- Good working knowledge of basic computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, email and marketing apps will be an added value
Salary and Benefits
- Starting salary will depend upon the experience and qualification
- 6 month probation period
- After probation review, Dashain Bonus and other benefits will be applicable
