Vacancy Notice for Emergency Response Programme

Terre des hommes (Tdh) is a child protection focused Swiss International NGO that has been working in Nepal for last 30 years. We are seeking qualified and dynamic Nepali residents to join our Kathmandu Office for the Emergency Response Programme in Nepal.  Duration of the contract of all position is initially will remain till December 2015 with possible extension. 

All position must have work experience in emergency projects/situation

Emergency Programme Coordinator (EPC)

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Under the direct supervision of Programmes Director, Emergency Response Programme Coordinator is responsible for overall project management including planning, monitoring, coordinating, reporting, and staff management. 

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least Master’s degree in Social Science, Management or related subject. Minimum three years’ experience in managing emergency projects. Having knowledge and experience on WASH, Health and Child protection will be an asset. 

Emergency WASH Manager 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Under the direct supervision and guidance of Emergency Programme Coordinator, Emergency WASH Manager is responsible to handle the WASH component of the programme. S/he will support to EPC for planning, budgeting, reporting and ensure the quality of WASH infrastructure and software activities.  

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and three years’ experience in WASH project in emergency/crisis situations in similar position. 

Emergency Health Manager 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Under the direct supervision and guidance of Emergency Programme Coordinator, the Emergency Health Manager is responsible to handle the Health component of the programme. S/He will support for planning, budgeting, monitoring the quality of health activities. S/He also has to build capacity of partners and stakeholders. 

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least Bachelor’s degree in Community Health and three years’ experience in health projects in emergency/crisis situations in similar position. 

Emergency Child Protection Manager 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Under the direct supervision and guidance of Emergency Response Programme Coordinator, Emergency Child Protection Manager is responsible to handle the Child Protection component of the project. S/He will support for planning, budgeting, reporting and monitoring the quality of protection activities. S/he also has to build capacity of implementing partners and stakeholders.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least Bachelor’s degree in Law or Social science or relevant subjects and three years’ experience in child protection works in emergency. 

Monitoring and Evaluation Manager

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Emergency Response M&E Manager is responsible to design, implement,monitoring and reporting of project results.  S/He will should maintain project data base and documentation. 

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least Bachelor’s degree in Social science or relevant subjects and three years’ experience M&E and research work. 

Training and Development Officer 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Training and Development Officer is responsible to design, implement, monitoring and reporting of training and development activities in the project.  

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least Bachelor’s degree in Social science or relevant subjects and three years’ experience training and development of partners, stakeholders and beneficiary level. Experience of capacity development of emergency area will be an asset. 

Emergency Response Logistic Officer 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Logistic Officeris responsible to lead the process of procurement, inventory and stock management, monitoring of varieties of goods, construction materials and services work purchased by partner organisations, monitor the quality of materials and their proper utilization. Logistic Officer shall provide training and orientation to partner organisations in order to build capacity in contract and procurement management. 

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least Bachelor’s Degree inBusiness Management, ProcurementManagement or related subjects and three years’ experience in related works, preferably public construction areas/projects. 

Accounts and Logistic Assistant 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accounting and Logistic Assistant is responsible to assist to Finance and Admin ManagerTdh Kathmandu  and Emergency Response Logistic Manager inaccounting and logistical matters including procurement, purchasing, roster updating, database updating, filling/documentation, cash and bank related tasks, form and formats, voucher preparation and entry, checking partner’s financial record keeping and monitoring of financial transactions and budget tracking. 

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • At least Intermediate Degree in business management and two years of experience in related work preferably public construction projects.

Salary and benefits: As per organization regulation.
