Data Management Specialist
Details / requirements:
Chemonics International Inc., a Washington D.C.-based international development company, seeks a qualified Data Management Specialist for an anticipated multi-year U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Counter Trafficking in Persons in Asia (CTIP-Asia) program in the lower Mekong sub-region. The project will combat trafficking in the Southeast Asia Region through increasing the capacity of law enforcement; protection of survivors; prosecution of perpetrators; and investment in strong partnerships with stakeholders across sectors to end trafficking. This position will be based in Kathmandu.
Responsibilities:
- Provides technical support to competent authorities and other relevant partners on protocols to identify and track trafficking cases.
- Plan, execute, and distribute quantitative reports and analyses, particularly related to trends in human trafficking.
- Assesses database performance by developing a protocol for measurement of results and identification of problem areas, and prepares reports to share with project stakeholders.
- Supports database performance by monitoring database performance; evaluating and resolving processing and programming problems; designing database management tools; answering user questions.
- Secures database by preparing access and control policies and procedures;
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree required in statistics, business, or related field
- Minimum of seven years of experience working on, data research and analysis, or a related field
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
- Fluency in English and Nepali; strong written and oral communications skills
