Assistant manager position at Kathmandu Animal Treatment (KAT) Centre.

KAT Centre is a well reputed non-profit NGO working in Kathmandu since 2004. KAT's mission is to rescue, treat, vaccinate and sterilize street dogs for the community and the Animal Welfare. 

KAT Centre is looking for a deserving individual for "Assistant Manager" position, a senior level position who will not only fulfill his/her delegated duties but also initiate new ideas to improve the sustainibility of the Centre and its efficacy on the territory.

We require:

• Bachelor's Degree in Management or other related field with 4 years of work experience or Master's Degree in Management or related field with 3 years of work experience.
• previous work experience in development sector in mid or senior level 
• perfect command over Nepali and English language, both written and spoken, with good computer skills for word and data processing (word, excel, powerpoint, email and internet) 
• problem solving skills
• ability to work in a team for achieving our goals
• experience with media and government institutions. Candidates with knowledge of how the government system works will be given more priority
• ability to write proposals and reports.
• affection towards animals and ability to work in a dog friendly environment (shelter). 

The duties of the assistant manager will be to:

• carry out the organizational tasks delegated by the manager.
• monitor and coordinate the staff and the overall management of the centre
• organize and take part in staff meetings
• deal with visitors and volunteers from different countries
• keep KAT's relationships with donors and connect with potential sponsors
• liaise with the manager, founder, and board members of the organization.
