Agriculture Extension and Research Officer

HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal is a Swiss non-governmental organization actively contributing to the improvement of the living conditions of poor and disadvantaged people in Nepal. 

Agricultural Services Development Programme (NASDP) is a bilateral initiative between the Government of Nepal and the Government of Switzerland. This project is being implemented by HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal. NASDP/ HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation Nepal invites applications from committed and experienced Nepali citizens for the following positions:

Position: Agriculture Extension and Research Officer ( 2-One for Dailekh and One for Okhaldhunga)

JOB PURPOSE: This position is responsible for the implementation of decentralised and pluralistic agriculture extension and research services in the cluster-targeted districts. In specific, to lead the planning and designing of all the extension and research related activities in the cluster districts. He/she is also responsible for  ensuring the link between various stakeholders of the project in close coordination with the Agrciulture Research Specialist.

REPORTING TO: Cluster Coordinator

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: In minimum, a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture (BSc Agriculture) with at least 5 years of relevant field experience.

For the above-mentioned positions,

Duty station: NASDP Cluster Support Unit (CSU) in Dailekh or Okhaldhunga district (with 80% time for field visitsof the programme districts)

Duration: Initially for 3 years
