CHOICE Humanitarian Nepal invites applications from qualified, motivated, and committed Nepali citizens for the following field-based positions under its ongoing project. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply within the specified deadline.

1. Position: Agriculturist

Location: Field-based with extensive travel within the project area

Start Date: 18 January 2026

Application Deadline: 28 January 2026

Position Overview

The Agriculturist will be responsible for supporting the planning, implementation, and monitoring of agriculture and livelihood interventions at the field level. This position requires effective coordination with farmers, farmer groups, community-based organizations, local authorities, and project teams to promote sustainable agricultural practices and improve livelihood outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support implementation of agriculture and livelihood activities at field level
  • Provide technical guidance on improved agricultural practices
  • Conduct field visits, demonstrations, and training sessions
  • Monitor agricultural activities and collect field data
  • Coordinate with local stakeholders, extension workers, and project staff
  • Prepare field reports, progress updates, and documentation
  • Ensure activities align with approved plans and technical standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Science, or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of crop production, soil management, and sustainable farming
  • Willingness to work in rural and remote areas with extensive travel
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Knowledge of local agricultural systems is an advantage
  • Prior experience in agriculture projects or extension services preferred
  • Fresh graduates with relevant field exposure are encouraged to apply

  • Proficiency in local languages and basic computer skills is an advantage

2. Position: Junior Engineer / Overseer

Location: Field-based with extensive travel within the project area

Start Date: 18 January 2026

Position Overview

The Junior Engineer/Overseer will be responsible for supervising field-level construction activities and ensuring works are implemented according to approved designs, specifications, quality standards, and timelines. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily construction activities at project sites
  • Ensure quality control and safety compliance
  • Measure, record, and verify work progress and materials
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and field staff
  • Prepare site reports and documentation
  • Assist in technical drawings, cost estimates, and progress reports
  • Report progress, challenges, and observations to senior engineers
  • Assist senior engineers as required 

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Basic knowledge of construction methods and site supervision
  • Willingness to work in remote field locations and travel extensively
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Prior field experience or internship will be an advantage
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply

3. Position: Development Facilitator

Location: Field-based with extensive travel within the project area

Position Overview

The Development Facilitator will work closely with local communities to support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of rural development initiatives, ensuring inclusive participation and sustainability of project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate community meetings and participatory planning processes
  • Support implementation of rural development programs
  • Coordinate with local stakeholders, user groups, and authorities
  • Monitor field activities and prepare progress reports
  • Promote community engagement, inclusion, and ownership

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Rural Development, Social Sciences, or a related field
  • Experience in community-based or rural development projects preferred
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and coordination skills
  • Willingness to work extensively in rural field settings
  • Knowledge of local context and languages is an advantage
