Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated Software QA Automation Engineer to join our team in Kathmandu. In this full-time on-site role, you will be responsible for ensuring software quality through manual and automated testing, identifying defects, and collaborating closely with developers and product managers to improve overall product quality and performance.
You will work throughout the software development lifecycle to detect and resolve issues, enhance testing processes, and help deliver reliable, high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely feedback Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using open-source tools Execute manual and automated test cases Identify, document, track, and verify software defects Perform regression testing after bug fixes and releases Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand system requirements Monitor debugging results and support issue resolution Track QA metrics such as defect density and open defect counts Improve QA processes for existing and new products Stay updated with the latest testing tools, methodologies, and best practicesQualifications & Skills
2–3 years of experience in Software QA or QA Automation(Freshers and interns are also encouraged to apply for our paid internship program) Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes Experience in manual testing, automation testing, and test case design Hands-on experience with automated testing tools Knowledge of white-box and black-box testing techniques Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environments Solid understanding of SQL and scripting Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good communication and teamwork abilities Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with CI/CD pipelines Knowledge of performance and security testing Experience with programming or scripting languagesEmployment Details
