ABOUT HICODEF

HICODEF is a registered NGO engaged in social development since 1999, working towards a society free from discrimination, exploitation, and poverty. Operating in Nawalparasi (East), HICODEF implements development and humanitarian programs in partnership with national and international organizations.

ABOUT THE SPICES PROJECT

The SPICES project, implemented by HICODEF and funded by CRS, promotes a market-based multi-story agroforestry model to improve livelihoods of smallholder farming communities in Nawalparasi (East). The project supports value chain commodity cultivation, processing, and marketing to enhance household income, productivity, and climate resilience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Intermediate of Science (I.Sc.) or equivalent in Agriculture and Animal Science, or bachelor’s in social science.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in agricultural development with an NGO or government organization.
• Demonstrated experience in participatory development approaches.
• Experience in training delivery, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), community development, and private sector engagement is highly desirable.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English and local languages.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Candidates must be prepared for approximately 90% field presence in rural/remote locations.
