International Nepal Fellowship (Nepal) is a non-governmental organization established in 1952. It serves the poor and disadvantaged people of Nepal, enabling them to live life to the fullest through health and development services. INF Nepal is currently working in the areas of health and community development in the Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpashchim Provinces of Nepal.

Since July 2023, INF has been implementing the Building Resilience through Empowerment on Adaptability against Disaster Risks and Climate Change for Kalikot (BREAD) project. The project aims to strengthen livelihood resilience and adaptive capacity to climate change and disaster risks in the target communities of Pachaljharana Rural Municipality in Kalikot District.

The main objective of this study will be to:

The objective of this study is to develop a comprehensive sub-sector plan (e.g., agriculture, livestock, off-farm skill, etc.) for the local government that aligns with federal and provincial plans and local priorities.

Qualifications & Competencies required:

• Advanced degree (Master) in agriculture or any relevant field
• At least five years of experience in agriculture, business development, sustainable livelihood, market development and research.
• Demonstrated experience in developing sub-sector plans, conducting market assessments, and performing value chain analysis across rural, urban, and semi-urban contexts.
• Experience in working with major actors or enablers of the small business or livelihood products value chain, could be in extension, research, education system or aid/development agencies.
• Excellent writing and verbal communications skills in English and local languages.
• Expert/consultant and service providers engaged with Karnali Provinces are preferred and encouraged to apply;
