Developing Inclusive and Green Opportunities (DIGO) aims to create additional jobs and income in the tourism sector in Nepal while generating positive environmental impacts. The project intends to achieve this by enhancing the sustainable tourism offer of tourism destinations and enterprises in Gandaki Province by guiding their transition towards responsible and sustainable tourism practices. This will be achieved by strengthening destination governance and planning capacities, improving tourism business models and practices, and building human resource skills and capabilities of public and private stakeholders. Through this transformation, the destinations will cultivate and offer high-quality sustainable tourism experiences that boost competitiveness, generate inclusive economic opportunities, and support long-term stewardship of their natural and cultural assets.  

DIGO supported by Swisscontact and implemented by United Community of Nepal (UniCoN) intends to develop Sustainable Transition Plans (STPs) for selected accommodation enterprises (hotels) in Pokhara Metropolitan City. DIGO is actively seeking applicants for this consultancy assignment for which this Request for Proposal (RFP) is issued.

Interested applicants are invited to submit their proposals electronically to rfp@unitedcommunitynepal.org with the Subject: Service Provider for Developing STPs – DIGO by May 03, 2026 (no later than 5 pm). Only shortlisted applicants will be notified for further solicitation processes. The deadline to submit clarification questions is 21 April 2026.
