Opportunity Village Nepal (OVN) advocates for the rights of women and children and for their economic and social justice. The focus of its programs continues to be on the abolition of child labor, prevention of human trafficking, promotion of girl child education and empowerment of women through various innovative strategies working closely with the communities they live in.

Under its Anti-Human Trafficking Project (Kathmandu, Rupendehi and Kaski ), promote the rights of vulnerable Nepali girls Project (CP-Home) and Vocational Training Centre (Promoting Entrepreneurship among Women and Girls Vocational Skills Development) with a particular focus on internal and cross border trafficking and child protection respectively, OVN invites applications for the following position externally:

  • Master's with a minimum 5-years of experience in Social work with a recognized certificate
  • Minimum of two years’ direct experience of direct service provision with vulnerable and or exploited children youth, particularly those who have been victimized by trafficking.  
  • Experience in child protection, Child rights, anti-human trafficking, and livelihood programmes and youth participation methodologies and experience of coordinating youth activities.  
  • Efficiency in using word, excel, PPT together with other MS packages and internet.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Nepali.
  • Experience providing written reports, case study/success story and documentation of project activities.
  • Proven leadership, communication, problem-solving, and people management skills, with the ability to lead diverse teams and foster collaborative working environments.
  • Sound knowledge of safeguarding, gender equality, and social inclusion, and Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL), with the ability to integrate these principles throughout programme implementation.
  • Ability to build productive partnerships with government agencies, donors, civil society organizations, and community stakeholders.
  • Preparing proposals and strategic plan of OVN in close consultation and coordination with the OVN Director. Ensure legal provisions as of Government of Nepal are met in implementing projects.
  • Preparing all documents for Social Welfare Council Nepal
  • Researching and preparing proposals to seek grant opportunities run by Nepal government, institutional donors (UN bodies or INGOs) on a regular basis.
  • Formulating a tool for MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning) for each thematic program and project.
  • Writing timely narrative and financial reports or active grants and preparing progress reports according to the requirements of the donors.
  • Preparing a national advocacy plan for Nepal in collaboration with the relevant coalitions/networks, like minded NGOs and INGOs.
  • Formulating tools/ training modules for TOT on advocacy at various levels.

The above position is initially for 3 months, with the possibility of extension upon satisfactory performance, and the selected candidates are required to begin their job from 1st August 2026.
