Job Overview:
1. Capture compelling photos and videos of daily activities, events, rescue operations, and reunions.
2. Shoot and edit high-quality video content for various platforms such as social media, websites, and presentations.
3. Edit raw footage using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, and Lightroom.
4. Develop creative visual stories that highlight the mission and impact of the Ashram’s work.
5. Optimize content for different digital platforms including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and the official website.
6. Plan and manage shoots independently, often under tight deadlines.
7. Maintain and archive video/photo files for organizational documentation.
8. Operate cameras, lighting kits, stabilization systems, and audio equipment.
9. Collaborate with team members to understand project needs and deliver visual assets accordingly.
10. Innovate and propose creative ideas for storytelling and visual engagement.
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies, Journalism, Communications, Filmmaking, or a related field.
Experience: Previous experience in videography and photo documentation is preferred. Must have a demonstrable portfolio.
Language: Proficiency in Nepali and English (both verbal and written).
Analytical Skills: Keen eye for visual composition and detail; ability to interpret themes into compelling visual stories.
Communication: Excellent communication skills to interact with teams and subjects during production.
Interpersonal: Collaborative and respectful attitude with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments.
Cultural Competence: Ability to respectfully capture and represent people from various cultural and emotional backgrounds.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in professional photo/video equipment and editing software including Adobe Creative Suite and Final Cut Pro. International Affairs Knowledge: An understanding of how to align content with global humanitarian storytelling practices is beneficial.
